Seems it was a slow music week for me.

I didn’t think I’d like this LP after reading some of the reviews and seeing that it was “indie pop,” but it’s great, mesmerizing even.

I’m an unwavering early-Boris fan, so when I heard that they had released a collection of live recordings called “Variations,” I had to pick it up. I’m not into the Pink era songs, but the collaborations with Michio Kurihara are unbelievable.

Their new album is growing on me, and the fact that they are local to San Francisco stokes me out too.
