So apparently Ted Nugent is trying his hand at the university. The University of Wisconsin at Madison signed on Ted Nugent to deliver a lecture entitled ‘God, Guns and Rock ‘n’ Roll.’ So, I guess my next question is how will such a liberal atmosphere as the U of Wisconsin at Madison react to the Gonzo master. He most likely will be talking about his connection with god, and how god provided him with the ability to hunt and kill most of His creatures–a fine feat.
I’m sure Teddy will be talking recipes too, but what I am more concerned with is what will be the key point to Ted’s presentation. Will he recap on his normal rant, like he did at National Rifle Association, where he explained that “I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release.” I guess this type of rhetoric is what will in part define Mr. Nuge after he peacefully slips into the embrace of his god. So, I guess I want something more. I don’t, besides all the god bullshit, completely disagree with the Nuge, but in some ways I feel that his over the top pro-gun, pro-hunting, pro-Hammurabi’s law rhetoric does not help his cause. It mainly helps concrete his image of being a crazy guy.
I’m not really coming to a conclusion here, I know. I think that Nuge’s enticement for me are his brief lapses into something cooler than just the over the top right-winger he seems to be. Whatever. Just play me “Wang Dang, Sweet Poontang,” and I will forget about it.
