I’ve still been playing with the idea of putting together a best-of list, which would require I take a thorough accounting of every album I’ve listened to this entire year, then making a list of what I thought were the best ones. Fun fun.

Anyway, here’s my list for this week.

Sun Ra – The Futuristic Sounds of…
Someone how I pulled this out of the stack and listened to it quite a bit.

Snowman – Absence
I’ve always enjoyed this album , but each time I listen to it I wonder about just what it contributes to the landscape of post-rock. In any case, it’s a joy to listen to.

Miles Davis – Sketches of Spain
Needless to say, this is a classic.

Grant Green – First Session
This guy plays jazz guitar like few others.
